Simple	S + V2 + O Used to talk about activities or situations that began and ended in the past. Ex : She went home two minutes ago	S + V1 + O a.    Expresses daily habits or usual activities. Ex : I work every night b.    Expresses general statements of fact.  Ex :Ants build their nests in the ground	S + Will / shall / be going to + O Express future time Ex : They are not going to organize a seminar.
Continuous	S + was / were + Ving + O Expresses an activity that was in progress (was occurring, was happening ) at a point of time in the past. Ex : I was sleeping when my friend came to my house yesterday	S + Ving + O Expresses an activity that is in progress (is occurring, is happening) right now. Ex : The teacher was explaining the lesson	S + will be + Ving + O Expresses an activity that will be in progress at a time in the future. Ex : You and I will be eating roasted corn.
Perfect	S + had + V3 + O Expresses an activity that was completed before another activity or time in the past. Ex : He had painted the fence in green.	S + have / has + V3 + O Expresses the idea that something happened (or never happened) before now, at an unspecified time in the past. Ex : The lost boy has been found.	S + will have / has + V3 + O Expresses an activity that will be completed before another time or event in the future. Ex : The students will have studied atomic structure.
Perfect Continuous	S + had been + Ving + O Emphasizes duration of an activity that was in progress before another activity or time in the past. Ex : Badu wanted to sit down because he had been standing all day at work.	S + have / has been + Ving + O Used to indicate the duration of an activity that began in the past and continues to the present. Ex : The manager has been checking the documents.	S + wiil + have been + Ving + O Emphasizes durations of an activity that will be in progress before another time or event in the future. Ex : By the end of August Martin will have been living in Bombay for three years
